Here's how to temporarily fix a cracked glass window with duct tape while waiting for a replacement pane

1. Step 1

   Cut strips of duct tape and center them over the cracks on the outside of the window. Cut a new piece every time the crack makes a turn and align it with the direction of the crack in the glass.

2. Step 2

   If there is a hole in a window, use multiple strips of duct tape, horizontally placed one over another to cover the hole.

3. Step 3

   Once the front side has been taped, repeat the process on the other side of the glass.

4. Step 4

   Replace the window as soon as possible.
