How to Fix a Wobbly Ceiling Fan
If your ceiling fan is wobbly it's probably off balance. All you have to do is add weight to whichever blade is causing the fan to wobble. But which blade is it? Here's a way to find out quickly and to fix the problem!
-
Step 1
Clip a clothespin to one of the ceiling fan blades. Be sure you put the clothes pin on the tip of the blade.
-
Step 2
Turn your fan on and see if it still wobbles. If it does, remove the clothespin from that blade and move it to another blade then turn the fan on again.
-
Step 3
Continue moving the clothespin to a different blade until the fan stops wobbling. When the fan stops wobbling you have discovered which blade is the culprit!
-
Step 4
Remove the clothespin from the blade that is causing the fan to wobble and glue one or two coins on the top of the blade to add weight to the blade.
-
Step 5
Turn the fan on and if it is still wobbling add another coin to the top of the blade and try again. When the ceiling fan stops wobbling you have added enough weight to the blade and you are done!
