Things You'll Need:

• Touch-up paint
• 1,500-grit sandpaper
• Car wax or car polish
• Toothpicks
• Fine-tipped paintbrush
• Rubbing alcohol
• Cotton balls

Pick a touch-up paint color that matches your car perfectly.

• Step 2

  Wet a cotton ball with alcohol and clean the area around the paint chip to remove any dirt.

• Step 3

  Lightly sand the area where the paint is chipped to smooth it out.

• Step 4

  Shake the touch-up paint until it's thoroughly mixed.

  Dip the paintbrush into the touch-up paint and lightly dab the area where the paint is missing. If the chip is very small, use a toothpick instead of a paintbrush. Let the paint dry completely.

  Dip the sandpaper into a bucket of water to moisten it. Using a horizontal motion, lightly sand the area where you repaired the paint chip.
