Toilet Flange

Turn off the water supply to your toilet. If you are installing a toilet for the first time on a concrete floor, you will need to determine if the toilet flange is secured into the concrete or if there is no toilet flange installed. If there is no flange you will need to buy a flange.
2.
Step 2
wax ring

If you need to install the flange do so now. Most flanges are PVC and can simple be glued to the waste drain pipe. Be sure to follow your PVC solvent and glue instructions. Once you have mounted the flange, secure it to the concrete floor by drilling anchor holes and using concrete anchors. Be sure that the holes on the flange for mounting your toilet are lined up in the position the toilet will sit. If you are simple replacing a toilet, be sure to replace the bolts that secure the toilet to the flange. Next place a new wax ring over the flange. Next place the toilet bowl over the wax ring lining it up with the 2 mounting bolts. Apply downward pressure to ensure a tight seal with the wax ring.
3.
Step 3

Secure the toilet by tighting the mounting bolts. Be sure they are snug, but do not over tighten because you could crack the bowl. Next mount the toilet tank using the instructions from the manufacturer. The last step is reconnecting the water supply line and checking for leaks.
