How to Fix About Blank on Internet Explorer

About Blank is an alternate home page tab page setting on Internet Explorer. To fix it, you must first determine a web page that you would like to view upon opening the IE browser. Instructions

Step 1Select "Tools" from the Internet Explorer task bar menu, then select "Internet Options" from the Tools pull-down menu.

Step 2
Go to the "General" tab.

Step 3Decide on which website you would like to automatically populate the Internet Explorer window to replace the About Blank address. Click on the "Use current" button located below the Home Section text box.

Step 4
Delete any unwanted website addresses and then enter the address of the web site(s) of your choice in the Home Section text box. Click "Apply," and then click "OK" to exit.

Step 5Close out of Internet Explorer to save the new settings, and then reopen it
