Tip 1: Vent
If your range hood is allowing drafts into your home, it is quite likely that there is a problem related to your vent. Typically speaking, the relevant vent will either be on the roof of your home, or on the outer wall opposite your stove. If you locate the vent on your outer wall, you may be one step closer to solving your problem. If not, you will have to find it on your roof.
Tip 2: Damper
Your vent should contain a damper that closes completely when not removing air and smoke from your home. Check to see if it closes, and also for leaks.
