How to Lunge Twist

Things You'll Need:
- Any kind of weight you can hold or nothing
This workout begins with you getting a medicine ball and getting into a starting stance. Your feet facing forward and your feet with at least six inches apart.

Step 2
First is to go ahead and step out to a comfortable distance. Bend at the knee and hold the position.
Its important to note here that your knee does not need to touch the ground in these lunges. If the lunge were to be done without weight, I might reccommend that you lunge to that distance. But because you have a ball or plate, you should keep a position that will allow you to comfortably function throughout your workout. -
Step 3
During this step the medicine ball should be held out in front of you.
In this extended position, twist slowly to both sides. Once the twist portion of the exercise is finished, propel your self back to the original position. -
Step 4
Its easy to see in this video that your balance is very important in this workout. I encourage that you do this workout with no medicine ball at first to get the movement figured out. It also might be easier to do this workout with a plate. You will find out what is best for you in this process.
