How to Do Downward Facing Dog in Yoga
Downward facing dog is one of the most popular poses in yoga and it is considered a “relaxing” pose, and it is not hard to do but if you suffer from knee sprains you can bend them a little.
Things You'll Need:
- yoga mat
Get on your mat with your knees and your hands on the mat and your hands should be a bit ahead of you and spread your fingers out and look straight ahead of you.
-
Step 2
Turn your toes under and breathe out and slowly take off your knees from the mat and get in a triangle position where your lower back is reaching for the ceiling and your arms are straight and you are facing down at the mat.
-
Step 3
At this point breathe out and if you wish bend one knee at a time to get used to the pose, breathe in and out for about thirty seconds before coming back to the mat. The more you do it you can add ten or thirty seconds each time to reach three or four minutes.
