How to excercise your Belly

A workout will help you tone up and get into shape and also burn calories. The hardest place to tone though is the stomach. We hold stress in the tummy area, we store our food in the staomch area that is why after each meal it is essential to get in a good walk for at least 30 minutes so you can digest your meal properly. here are a few excercises you can do each day for 30 minutes to help with that belly fat.

Things You'll Need:

  • A yoga matt
  • comfortable clothes
  • motivation
  • will power

Step 1

Double crunches. Lying down on your back with knees into your chest, close together and feet flexed. begin to pull the knees into the chest and with your hands behind your head, tuck the chin into the chest as well. Hold here and release. DO these curls 8 times, than rest for a 1/2 minute and continue to do another 8 counts. Keep repeating with resting in between, 3 sets of 8.

  • Step 2

Twisting Plank Pose. This is a yoga pose and they also use this posture in pilates. Get down into a raised push up but with forearms on the floor about shoulder width apart. Keep the palms flat, body in a straight line from head to heel. Now pull the belly in tight and rotate your body left, lowering left hip, pause and return to the starting position and twist now, to the right. Do two sets of 10.

  • Step 3

Roll-Down. Sitting on the floor with knees bent thighs hip width apart feet flat; pull the belly in, inhale and slowly roll yourself down to the floor, one vertebra at a time. Keep your back curved like a C shape until your shoulder blades fall towards the tail bone. Exhale and slowly roll up to starting position. Do 2 sets of 12.

  • Step 4

Chair tuck ins. If you are like me and have a job that requires you to sit all day long, this is a wonderful exercise and a sure way to help tone your tummy. Sitting in a chair with feet flat on the ground, thighs hip width apart, inhale and tuck the tummy, both top and bottom part, in tight, hold and exhale the breath out. Do 3 sets of 10 thru ought the day.
